Circular route of great difficulty due to its length, unevenness and altitude that requires good preparation and experience that leads us to travel a complete loop of Teide
We will start from the village of “Chio” on the southeast coast, from where after a first descent to “Tamaimo” we will begin to ascend for 6km to “Santiago del Teide” and then again for 3km to “Puerto de Erjos”.
From here, after pleasant ups and downs, we will begin a long descent that will take us to “Icod de Los Vinos” and from there up and down to “La Orotava”.
Now the real climb begins: 21km by 1600m+ that will take us to “El Portillo” at 2000 meters of meters from where, after a well-deserved refreshment, we will continue through the “la Cañada” riding for 20km immersed in a unique volcanic landscape at 2000m altitude.
Arrived at “Boca Tauce” we just have enjoy a long 30km descent that will take us back to the starting point where we can recover with some typical “Canarian tapas”.
